Goal of the Day

From theory to real work

Where we were

Days 1–4: AI fundamentals, communications, data analysis, vibe coding. We understood what AI can do.

Today

Today it's hands-on with your tasks. I connect to your screen and we set up and solve real FPWS team cases together.

Format: live work in Cursor + Claude Code. You state the task in plain language — the agent does the technical part.
02

What to Install

The base kit to start

Three tools

  • Cursor — editor with Claude Code inside — cursor.com/downloads
  • Node.js — runtime — nodejs.org
  • Git — version control — git-scm.com/install

Configuration

A ready config (skills, agents, settings) installs with one command — Claude Code unpacks the archive and sets everything up.

Install promptUnpack claude-config-public-archive.zip into ~/.claude/, back up the current config if any. Put CLAUDE.md into the home folder. After installation, verify the configuration and install everything needed for it to work.
03

Cursor + Claude Code Interface

What you need to know

Windows & sessions

  • Claude Code opens as a panel inside Cursor
  • Split into 2 panes — two tasks in parallel
  • «+» — new tab/session (like browser tabs)
  • Finished a task — close the session

Remote work

I can connect to your screen (remote control request) and show the steps right on your machine — you repeat and try it yourself.

04

First Run

Step by step — how to start yourself

5 steps to your first task

  • 1. Open Cursor — the Claude Code panel appears automatically
  • 2. Create a new session («+»)
  • 3. Describe the task in plain language (like to a colleague)
  • 4. Give the agent the needed files (statements, tables, documents)
  • 5. Check the result; if needed — refine and repeat
Principle: you are the task-setter and architect. The clearer the task and the better the context (files, examples), the more accurate the result.
05

Case: Portfolio Review

AI-assisted portfolio analysis

The task

Build a client portfolio review: gather data, compute metrics, format it (Excel/PPTX) following last quarter's template.

How we do it

  • Give the agent a sample (Portfolio 3Q) and new data
  • Ask to reproduce the format for 4Q
  • The agent computes, builds tables and the deck
  • We review and fine-tune
Result: what took hours of manual work is assembled in minutes — while you control quality and final delivery.
06

Practical Tips

To work fast and confidently

Good habits

  • One session per task (clean context)
  • Use ready-made skills instead of starting from scratch
  • Attach files and examples — that's context
  • Don't be afraid to experiment — easy to roll back

If you get stuck

  • Rephrase the task simpler and more specific
  • Break a big task into steps
  • Ask the agent to explain what it did
  • Ask in our chat — we'll sort it out together
